New Young Friends Committee

The newly formed Young Friends Committee for St. Vincent Home for Children is off to a strong start.  The group first met in September to discuss ideas and goals for the group.  The second meeting, held at St. Vincent’s, occurred on Tuesday, October 14th.  The new committee is currently working on launching their first event, 80’s Trivia on Saturday, April 18th, 2015.

Our Young Friends Committee has committed to developing special activities for our at-risk teens for Thanksgiving.  The goal is to ensure that the holidays are memorable, healthy and fun for our teens.  To supplement a traditional holiday feast, we will provide activities and arrange for a holiday movie.

In addition, the new Young Friends Committee participated at the Connect With Young Professional Happy Hour on Thursday, October 16th.  The event was hosted by FOCUS St. Louis at the Forest Park Visitor’s Center.  More than 50 Young Professional Groups participated with the St. Vincent Home for Children Young Friends Committee. The evening was successful in getting the word out about opportunities with our new group.
