Carla Monroe-Posey, Ph.D.
St. Vincent Home for Children is pleased to introduce Carla Monroe-Posey, Ph.D., as the agency’s new Executive Director, effective March 24. Carla will follow Lee Ann Taylor’s six years of passionate service to the agency in the work of helping at-risk youth.
The Board is excited about the leadership and vision Carla brings to St. Vincent Home for Children. Her knowledge of social service delivery systems, strategic planning, counseling and the funding and administration of similar programs will be an asset to the agency. Carla’s insight into the government and private sectors was developed over the course of her career as an Air Force officer, clinician and executive. “I’m excited about working with the Board, key stakeholders and staff in focusing and implementing our strategic vision to ensure comprehensive, effective services for the children, families and communities we serve,” says Dr. Monroe-Posey.
Carla will be responsible for planning and directing a comprehensive program of services for youth and their families, the administration, management and operation of the agency, and supervising and directing all directors. “We are excited and honored to have Dr. Monroe-Posey as part of the St. Vincent Home for Children leadership team. Her experience and expertise will be an asset to our organization and to the child welfare community,” said Keith VanHoy, Board Chair.
